There isn’t much going on in this sleepy town, but that’s part of the draw for guests at the Ocean House. Nearby Newport and Providence offer a bit more excitement for those who want more than relaxation from their vacation. The 138 year-old building was not compliant with current building and life safety codes. Its timber structure had been compromised by indiscriminate installation of electric, gas, and plumbing utilities, as well as a reconfiguration of rooms to include private bathrooms. Ocean House’s Ocean & Harvest Spa and COAST restaurant are also Forbes Five-Star rated, making Ocean House a triple Five-Star resort, one of only fourteen resorts in the world with this honor.

Swift rented this 1870 brick townhouse, made famous after her well-known lyric “I rent a place on Cornelia Street,” between 2016 and 2017 while her $50 million TriBeCa loft was undergoing renovations.
Additionally, a basement storage area (which had housed a nightclub in the 70’s) was re-imagined into the first Dom Perignon Branded champagne salon in the United States.
